I’d bet a whole American dollar that saying “Please don’t steal from us” on social media is basically a challenge to double down and yoinks! away! on our titles.

Ooh my favorite four Final Fantasy games! FFVI has the top spot, but the other three are harder to rank. FFIX was a grand return to form. FFXIII-2 was a surprising gem stuck in a sea of mediocre from its prequel and sequel. And Dissidia 012 Duodecim forever has a special place in my heart.

Not a game developer, but as a writer... well, my ebook for book 1 (releasing on the 16th!) already says everything that I need to say in response to that drivel:
No Large Language Model ("LLM") or "AI" generated content appears within these pages. The words come from the author's imagination, the characters and locations and their respective names come from the same (or Selkie Myth, in some cases). The editing was done through the author's obsession with quality, beta readers, and the occasional error report from readers. And, just as important, all art used was commissioned from talented artists and is used with permission.

Reminder to all that scam sites will fake author testimonials with fact-free "AI" drivel. Also, I will never ever ever give a testimonial to any "global reader community" so if you see one from me, you will know it's utterly full of shit. Fuck these scammers for preying on people's hopes.
I'm not going to post the driveling AI text here, but know a) I did not endorse this scam, b) I never wrote a historical fiction novel and the text claims, c) I would not be excited about getting a dozen "reviews" on Amazon, not the least because my most recent work (the one pictured here, 3 Days, 9 Months, 27 Years) has over 3300 actual rankings/reviews on Amazon and over 4,000 on Goodreads. Seriously, now.
