I sometimes get the impression that people believe trans men to be at less risk of transphobic violence than they actually are.
By dint of being trans, both trans men and women are prone to being degendered and constructed as a predatory, sexual threat to women, against whom violence is justified.

When it comes to conservative politics, even when attempting to hold it accountable to its own precedents, we must not ever expect any consistency.
There is a logic to these actions, but it is a reactionary, punitive logic. The logic states that we are lesser, and must always be put in our place.

This is explicitly what they want to do to ban even social transition for trans youth. Tell them that their lives will be so terrible and ruined that they can't be allowed to transition. That's the goal, make trans life so unbearable we cease existing. But we can't and we won't.

I’ll join the pile of recommendations for Margaret Killjoy. The Sapling Cage was one of my favorite books I’ve read recently.
Her Danielle Cain series I just started, but is also good. Leans more horror than fantasy, but has magic and anarchy and a trans protagonist
