The whole thing is like some sort of bizarre fever dream...

The blanket looks amazing!

It helped that I was only a few minutes walk from home, so it would have been easy to take a break if I needed to. Really wish I'd thought to take my headphones though.

There were a *lot* more people there today, so it was fairly noisy and overwhelming. But I managed to get through it without a meltdown and I'm very glad to be back home.

It's largely held together with quilting clips, so it's a bit wonky, and there's a few gaps still to fill in (I ran out of both time and clips).

The sewing together starts on Wednesday afternoon. At which point I may start to regret my life choices...

Sorry - life got away from me a bit this morning, and then I got myself in a tizz about not having replied.

I'm sure we can work something out.

I'm about to turn in for the night, as the cat will no doubt wake me at 5am, but I'll be in touch in the morning if that's okay?

Gill, could I send you something from my tub of shawls (aka the magic porridge pot, as it's never empty)? It would mean a lot to me for you to have something to wrap yourself in on the dark days and know that someone out there cares.

Please feel free to tell me to wind my neck in if I'm overstepping, but when I give away my shawls (I knit far more than I could ever wear) I ask the recipient to make a donation to charity. There's no minimum amount, and I don't check up on it, but that's what works for me.

It's the Snowflake Temperature Blanket by Kaye Adolphson - you can find it for free on Ravelry (not sure if it's available elsewhere).

It did take me a while to work out where I'd made the mistake - I had to go back to the spreadsheet and check one by one. Which shows how little difference it makes...
