Crochet Christmas tree is finally finished! It may be a while before I can look at a granny square again...

I have reached what I'm calling the "seven of nine" point of my blanket (which I am massively (annoyingly?) entertained by).

Two more large squares (aka eight small ones) before I have to decide on a layout and border.

This is how I'm spending my Monday afternoon. You?

Sunday snoozing 😍

He's slowing down as he gets older, and gets confused in his own home, but he's still my best bud...

I am having a grumpy old day, but at least I've made an ugly crochet Christmas ornament! 🧶

It's two starburst baubles from Janie Crow's Twinkle Bunting pattern sewn together.

Or maybe the OG Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz?

One of the craft groups I go to is making a granny square Christmas tree for the tree festival at the local church. This afternoon a couple of us made a start on trying to work out how it'll all go together.

One of my purchases from today. It's supposed to be a Christmas present, but I'm going to find it difficult to part with...

I was feeling all proud of myself for getting my temperature blanket back up to date, only to realise that I'd messed up and accidentally repeated three days at the beginning of September.

It'll just have to stay like that, as there's no way I'm redoing over two months of work... 🧶

I don't yet have a knitting photo for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits prompt of indie dyed yarn/indie designers, but this is the ridiculousness of my yarn cupboard. Almost all of this is from indie dyers (mostly Posh Yarn) and all heavy lace weight or finer.

Hector is giving my leg a hug and gently snoring away 😻

He may be getting old, and suffers from feline dementia, but he's still my best bud...

Crochet + cat + Stranger Things rewatch = my Thursday evening.

Assembling square 5 of my mosaic crochet blanket, based on the Spirit of the Stars pattern by Sarah Athey.

Day 2 of working on this tangled skein of cobweb weight merino yarn, and I'm finally starting to make some progress.

I'm up to date with my crochet temperature blanket for once! It's getting pretty big - at 65 inches it's longer than I am tall.

And it looks like the blanket passed Hector's inspection.

Random photo just because I liked the way the lights were reflected in the glass

First four large squares completed and all ends sewn in! Only another five to go (and some sort of border, but I'll work that out when I get there).

Pattern is Spirit of the Stars by Sarah Athey in Stylecraft Special DK 🧶

I don't have too many examples of hats for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits prompt (and even fewer with decent photos) but I used to knit them for my husband to wear while running.

Mostly knitted in 2x2 rib in yarns from Posh Yarn.

I've been out for most of the day, so Hector Von Whiskers is making sure that I stay put now I'm home.

(Just don't tell him that I'll be doing the same for the next couple of days...)

A little (in more than one sense) happy happy from this morning. I don't think I've seen a wren on the bird feeder before, though I know they live nearby as I often hear them.

A visitor in the wee small hours. I think the bird feeder makes quite a good vantage point for spotting potential prey...
