It's a shame we don't teach more basic Spanish at an elementary level in the US. That's when it's most likely to stick and it's the most useful second language to know by far. Most western countries that speak English as a second language start that young. Makes no sense besides exclusion.

Ok a day later the only ads I remember are the karaoke coincbase one, the dunkin 90s sitcom one, the little kid giving his coach's speech to his action figures(NFL I think), and Pepsi taking back polar bears lol.

My bf walked in after work wondering if the work ice/water is what made his stomach hurt and then proceeded to reheat rice he cooked yesterday and accidentally left in the rice cooker for 24 hours at room temp. Yes I told him he shouldn't eat it. It's been 20 minutes now. We'll see ig.

No diet or distraction like being worried, medicating, and monitoring your kitten that is (now determined) constipated for a week. The levels of gross you go to, so easily, for ur pets is so crazy. Parents being immune to poop germaphobia makes sense now. Send prayers up for Chumba and his colon🙏🙌

The amount of like gen X or older adults I've heard that have shared a very specific and deceptively mild story of why it's fair for them to stereotype whatever specific marginalized group they want is wild. I'm 28 and still waiting for the "racism is right sometimes actually" epiphany.

Somedays when I know I can't mentally handle whatever influx of horrible news is likely happening, I just open Bluesky for 10 seconds to do a quick hopeful skim for overwhelming celebration. One of these days. I can feel it.
