It's supposed to be a high of 31 degrees so here's hoping the conference vibe is pro-shorts. I mean, surely we can't be expected to present at the Sunshine Coast in Actual Pants. Most people living here don't seem to own shirts.

Third (and final) conference presentation for November this afternoon. I'll be talking briefly about the incredible (and interactive!!) FAFSWAG Vogue documentary. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, it's free to access here: fafswagvogue.com

2. Vacuum (tiny indoor weather)

Book launch highlights: my high school English teacher showing up (!), my colleagues' daughters' handmade card, my friend making me a beaded rat in the trans flag colours, Alex's sparkly dress, and my punk friends charming my v. wholesome Aunt/Uncle. It was so overwhelming and so beautiful.

Sometimes Mouse protests late bedtimes by climbing onto my shoulders, but tonight she started this nonsense at 8:30pm.

All proceeds will directly benefit Mouse the Cat because she refuses to engage with capitalism by getting a job

Self-promotion is not one of my strengths, so please bear with me during this trying time. But I wrote a book! And people can pre-order the book! With a launch discount (NEW30)!

Mouse was doing an excellent impression of the thousand yard stare on her walk today (triggered by the distant yaps of the neighbour's bichon frise, Gucci).

Made it through the morning events with only one purchase. Showing great restraint. #pukapuka

Day one of Featherston Booktown and I'm already two purchases deep.

March 1st and we're still in flop season. Someone turn the temperature down before Mouse melts into the floor.
