All season, I wrote in-depth, data analysis articles for every #F1 race weekend
They were supporter-only, but now they’re all free for everyone!

I won’t be able to continue these articles (for now), so I’m pausing all memberships: no one will be billed anymore

Kimi Antonelli was just 4 when Jenson Button pressed the DRS *button* for the first time in 2011
Yesterday, he became the last driver ever to use it!

He activated it in the final DRS zone of the final lap, hitting 330 km/h (but still couldn’t pass TSU)

Goodbye, DRS 🫡

At the end, Hulkenberg basically said: “Traffic? I don’t care”
*Proceeds to pass 5 cars in a DRS train in 8 laps*

Fatalities recorded: his teammate, one Mercedes, two Williams, and one Red Bull

“Traffic does not exist, it can’t hurt you!”

Interesting title! Not a big fan of the word “intelligence” in the context of AI, let alone “Fluid Intelligence”. But I will still give it a read. It’s a long one, only 41 pages. LOL 😂 arxiv.org/abs/2511.20455
Fluid Intelligence: A Forward Look on AI Foundation Models in Computational Fluid Dynamics
Driven by the advancement of GPUs and AI, the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is undergoing significant transformations. This paper bridges the gap between the machine learning and CFD com...

#F1 RACE PACE! 🏁

Four drivers had a pace within 0.1s of RUS's, whose brilliant first stint let him cruise in the second one!

Ferrari designed an issues-filled car: you’d expect them to fix them over the season, yet they’ve worsened. Both drivers had to run at backmarker pace at the end!

This is too pretty not to share. Working hard on the next version, sometimes the development feels extremely slow, but this definitely makes me smile. :) Anyway, hope you enjoy!

How strong can a tow be? What about 26km/h ON TOP of DRS?!?😳

BEA had the 4th lowest top speed in quali (no tows): ‘just’ 320km/h

Instead, he reached 346km/h while overtaking, although compared to quali:
-ERS deployment had to be managed more 🪫(‘Overtake mode’ in race?)
-Worse track conditions

So... I did something😬

I'm teaming up with JMP to organise an F1-themed data analysis summer challenge!🤩

You'll analyse the data from an F1 race: laptimes, compounds, pit stops, speed traps, you name it!🏎️

Same data for everyone: may the best among you win!

#F1 QUALI LAP ANALYSIS - TEAMS 📊

🟩RUS could remain full-throttle way more than anyone else (lifting later, on gas sooner): that's how he got pole! 👌
🟦VER had the best top speed. He also had the best min speed in T3-T4 (aero efficiency ✅)
