This is true and fair but where were we when so many folks had never seen or even heard of John Hyams THE SMASHING MACHINE?
I’m sorry to have to be this guy again, but: The new film THE RUNNING MAN is not a remake of the 1987 film THE RUNNING MAN. It is a second adaptation of the 1982 novel by Stephen King.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Even if that IT show was good it would still be abaolutely jammed with terrible VFX and just generally look like shit.

Fiance hadn't seen so I rewatched this tonight. Just a terrific piece of pure narrative filmmaking.

I know most of you are probably loving it but I'm totally checked out on Chair Company. I find it impossible to give a shit about any of it.

Rewatching LOOPER for homework purposes. Just immediately arresting and very apparently *directed* in a way that feels like you don't see much anymore. Much as I love LAST JEDI and am excited for the new KNIVES OUT, I can't wait for Johnson to do something like this again.

Next results update Monday.

I'm up and down on Trier but SENTIMENTAL VALUE is really, really good.

I largely really liked IS THIS THING ON?. Cooper trying to make a Jim Brooks movie. He mostly pulls it off.

Do any of my fellow Seattle transit riders know what the fuck is going on with the One Bus Away app the last couple weeks? Totally erratic, showing all these crazy trip arrival times that swing from like 30min early to 10min late from moment to moment.

Cattet/Forzani's best film yet and easily one of the best and weirdest I've seen all year.

For homework purposes I'm watching the Bill Lustig movie RELENTLESS. Had no idea it was written under a pseudonym by fucking Phil Alden Robinson.

This AVATAR BTS doc that's out this weekend is real good, especially if you're a tech head like me. Too short at 85 minutes!

My local awards voting deadline is at the beginning of December for some insane reason, so tonight begins the 3 weeks of screening insanity before Thanksgiving. Why are we nominating before everything is out? I don't fucking know!
