The narrative is worker trying to upsell customer to a more expensive drink - happens every day - and woman behind him becoming impatient.
IMO, to read it otherwise is the tiktoker projecting his own insecurities on the situation being portrayed.
But we each get to interpret it thru our own lens.

IMO the point of the comic was the author's criticism of the impatient woman behind the Marine who was upset with the Marine for something that wasn't his fault and the tiktoker's focus on the additional coffee choices being presented is misplaced.

IMO, the author's criticism was of the impatient lady behind the Marine that the tiktoker didn't even acknowledge and the tiktoker was so focused on their own projection that they missed the point of this particular comic entirely.
