This sucks. They shouldn't have been there. They should have been home with their families preparing for Thanksgiving, especially after a judge ruled the deployment to be illegal. That being said, there's still no justification for this and I'm saddened for their families.

So, if 7 GOP members of Congress resign and that drops the number of sitting GOP members of Congress to less than the 213 Dem members of Congress, does the speakership automatically flip to Dems? Would a motion to vacate the speakership be required? Anyone know for sure how that would work?

Just saw a Schweikert for governor ad on channel 3 and, honestly, it left me laughing. He's truly the most milquetoast candidate ever but tried so hard to sound tough ass in the ad. I look forward to his departure from politics.
