The first #Crew96 match is in 18 days and you still cannot buy the new jersey (which also hasn't been released yet). Always a huge failing by MLS to screw up the jersey availability timeline so badly.

Genuinely shocked by this fee. Convert it (and Hinestroza's sell on) to GAM and let's roll. #Crew96
🇨🇦 BREAKING: Toulouse FC is finalizing a deal to sign Canada int’l forward Jacen Russell-Rowe from the Columbus Crew, per sources.

Fee around $2.5m + add ons + sell-on clause.

JRR was out of contract at end of year. He wanted move to Europe and is getting it.

Of course it's Toulouse, but you HAVE to take that fee #Crew96
🇨🇦 Sources: FC Toulouse submitted a bid around $2m + add-ons to Columbus Crew for Canadian int'l Jacen Russell-Rowe.

Russell-Rowe's contract expires up at end of year.

Russell-Rowe, 23, had 9g/2a in ~2,000 mins last year for Crew. Wants to go to Europe

I like JRR but this is a no brainer deal for #Crew96. The job was his to grab last year and while he showed flashes, he never was able to get a grasp on the spot.
🇨🇦 Columbus Crew and Canada int'l forward Jacen Russell-Rowe is a player of interest abroad before January transfer window closes.

I'm told a Ligue 1 club is among those with serious interest. One to watch over next week.

Contract expires at end of 2026.

Glad to see #MLS continuing its tradition of jerseys not being released until the season practically starts. Very smart to not let people buy things they'd like to buy!

Part of me had hoped for a Nancy reunion but the Rydström appointment is an important one. #Crew96 is more than one person and that's what moving forward says. Succeed or fail this is a positive step for the club.

I saw something wild the other day.

Four of the last Five permanent Columbus Crew head coaches have reached the MLS Cup Final. The other won the Supporter’s Shield.

We win trophies. Columbus is the most consistent trophy winning team in MLS.

Liking this hire a lot and really hope it kills the rumors of the James Rodriguez deal. Love James but not on #Crew96
Once again, Keith Naas beats the press, including thedistrespected.com.
Per source, #Crew96 are in the process are finalizing a deal to make Rydstrom their next coach.
A formal announcement could come today.
An introduction, later.

This Milwaukee-based #Crew96 fan likes this division
MLS news: in 2027 Minnesota United will definitely be in a new division with Chicago, St Louis, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Columbus

who knows when this will be officially announced but I got my info from 2 people inside the league today

The two biggest #MLS days of the season (conference finals and MLS Cup) being on the two most important days college football days of the season have turned me all the way in favor of the schedule change.
December 6, 2025 at 6:03 PM
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills re: the calendar change. The conference finals were literally against the biggest college football weekend of the regular season and were an absolute after-thought to the vast majority of MLS #fans. That's a bad thing!
We asked, you answered.

Our 2025 MLS fan survey results are out, with responses from nearly 3,500 fans voicing their opinion on the state of the league, roster rules, the calendar shift, and more.

Big offseason for #Crew96. We'll get to see if Issa Tall's slow pace was due to Nancy's reluctance to add players (I have a hunch some of it was) and if they can retool the team in a way that makes 2026 a fun year (if not a competitive one).
It’s official. Wilfried Nancy has departed #Crew96 to take the reigns at Celtic.

Feeling extremely Alien v Predator about this one. Whoever wins we lose. #Crew96
“Obviously, it's the GOAT, Messi, all that. But I feel like when he comes to Cincinnati, it's a bit different.”

Honestly, I don't think this is a huge deal. Playoffs in May is cool. I'll miss the June games in Columbus but I would LOVE for a Thanksgiving weekend slate before the winter break. #Crew96

This schedule competes against CFB/NFL just about as much as the current one.
BREAKING: MLS owners have voted and passed a schedule change. The league will run from the late summer months through May.

This is due to start in summer of 2027. MLS will take winter break in Jan/Feb

The best player in MLS and #Crew96 history. So thankful he chose Columbus
BREAKING: Columbus Crew midfielder and MLS legend Darlington Nagbe is retiring after the 2025 MLS season, per sources.

Nagbe, 35, is a four-time MLS Cup winner (2015, 2018, 2020, 2023) with three clubs (Portland, Atlanta, Columbus).

One of MLS's best-ever midfielders 👏

Bummed that the #Crew96 season is probably over but I also disagree with those who wanted a Morris replacement. We want Taha to be that guy. Taha won't be that guy if he doesn't get to play and make mistakes on the field.

For my money, Michael Bradley is the best box-to-box midfielder in USMNT history.
September 5, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Had to be 4 points MINIMUM from these two matches and they come away with 1. Inexcusable. #Crew96

My biggest secret is that Michael Bradley is my favorite USMNT player of all time. Sorry #Crew96.

Did #Crew96 ever grab the additional international slot they needed for Abou Ali? They briefly had two open but sold one to Houston (the one they received in the Dejuan Jones trade). Picard will take up one slot so unless they are able to move off of Camacho (or someone else) they'll need a slot.

I really like Max, but with Nancy's background getting production from almost anyone in the wingback slot and the pipeline including Picard, Brown, and potentially Prince Forfor there really is no reason to keep Max from getting his chance in Europe. #Crew96
