Photos showing what appears to be #MichaelEisner and King Louie enacting some sort of King Kong spoof. I don't know exactly what's going on here, but I like it.

While the reference to "human" seems a bit out of place, the truth is that Disney characters are just people, not really anthropomorphic animals in the same way as Bugs Bunny.

It's why Mickey and Minnie aren't depicted as cheese-obsessed. It also explains the dichotomy between Goofy and Pluto.

I love what a time capsule this set is! The Spirt of Mickey! Pocahontas II! Flubber! The Black Cauldron's first home video release! Not every Happy Meal can evoke such a specific moment in time.

In an early version the #Aladdin script where Al's mother is present, she faints upon first meeting the Genie. His reaction line ("I haven't seen a fall like that since Rome!") was recorded by Robin Williams and finally used many years later in "Once Upon a Studio."

Concept art for Mamelouk, an evil cat from Disney's original drafts of #TheRescuers. He's very clearly modeled after Lucifer from Cinderella. There's also art for a nice cat, Sidney, one of Miss Bianca's friends.

It may be a little late for Christmas (or quite early, if you'd prefer), but here is my newest Disney Villains entry on Oogie Boogie from #TheNightmareBeforeChristmas!

Amusing (if not disturbing) gag drawing of our favorite "Silly Old Bear" from Pooh's Grand Adventure. Presumably an artist having some fun and not something actually meant for the movie.

Model sheet of Scrooge McDuck's rival, John D. Rockerduck from an old Disney style guide. Seems to be US-based, which is interesting because Rockerduck never really got picked up over here compared to other countries.

Wow, I think I might have this saved on my old computer. This takes me back to a much, much simpler time. I especially love the manically-happy Togepi.

Really great music video for the "Snoopy Vs the Red Baron" song, custom made by a local Cleveland channel.

Snoopy looks a bit like the Unabomber here, but that's probably a coincidence.

Speaking of attractions that were originally going to be dinner theater / show ...

You often hear about Edison Square and Liberty Street, but did you know about a Chinatown section of Disneyland's Main Street USA?

Here's concept art by Herb Ryman of a proposed "indoor dining amphitheater"?!🥡

The loss of MuppetVision is still eating at me, even though #MonstersInc is one of my favorite Pixar films.. The saddest part is that after thinking about it, the Muppets could actually work well with those characters. Can't you just see Sweetums working on the Laugh Floor?
