My latest McDonald’s buying trip haul was completely absurd… a Professor slide topper, Hamburglar body from a swing set, Ronald & Goblins plaques, custom wall hangers based on the 90s kids chairs, 60 Xmas ornaments and best of all, tabletop statues of Captain Crook & Hamburglar!

If you're still looking for a Halloween costume, let me suggest these early 90s McDonaldland Masks from Germany:

There are few tasks in life more tedious than photographing 10ft-long, three-decade-plus-old soda ephemera, but I can empathize with you.

In 1999, select McDonald's locations offered a Mini Pancake Breakfast Happy Meal with smiley face potatoes, not to mention individual pizzas with fries! Love uncovering this kind of stuff - does anyone have any recollection of these?

FLINTSTONES PUSH UPS were always a top-tier dessert. These are technically still available as a plain Nestle product, but with no Flintstones themed flavors like "Lime Rock Lime," you know they couldn't possibly taste as good. (1989)

The six most iconic Happy Meal toys ever made, all in one perfect set. Can't change my mind. (1993)

Sandwiched between years of Halloween Pails, McDonald's mixed things up with "McBoo Bags" in 1991, a line of glow-in-the-dark vinyl bags for trick-or-treating. These hit just the right nostalgic spot for many, but never had the popularity of the Pails or McNugget Buddies.

27 years ago today: The Ronald and Pals HAUNTED HALLOWEEN Happy Meal was released, featuring six characters with masks and a free pack of Spooky Nerds! Bonus points for the inclusion of "Iam Hungry" in the set. (1998)

Can you even claim to be a McDonald's fan if you don't wear this incredible sweatshirt everywhere you go? (1995)

In 2001, Kellogg's upped its Halloween cereal game with CANDY CORN POPS - bummer that even 24 years later, it has still never seen a re-release

McDonald’s in Germany didn’t get the pumpkin when they offered the Halloween Monster McNuggets Happy Meal in 1993, but they did have an extremely sweet translite sign…

One of the earliest McDonald's translite signs is this circular, vacuform Jack-o-lantern. Not just a cool vintage Halloween item, but also one of the centerpieces of my whole McDonald's collection. (1967)

Here’s a countertop display from 1993’s NICK OR TREAT Halloween promotion. A lot of McDonald’s contests have come and gone over the years, but a Nickelodeon Haunted House Party sounds like one of the best prizes ever.

30 years ago, the October Happy Meal theme was "What am I going to be for Halloween." Each week, you had a choice of an audio cassette or a McDonaldland character in a detachable costume. (1995)

Pumpkin leaf bags might still be around in some capacity, but in the early 90s, it seemed like they were EVERYWHERE. An underappreciated part of the Halloween aesthetic. (1991)

While it’s not *technically* a Halloween item - it seems like a good time to share Popsicle’s Fear Factor Pop-Ups. There were two different flavors: sour cherry with gumball eyes and watermelon with sour lemon blood. (2006)

As I was quickly glancing, I thought this was saying that the gigantic burger was $7.99, but apparently it isn't.

In 1992, McDonald’s brought back Halloween Pails after a one-year experiment with "McBoo Bags." This lineup featured lids with detachable cookie cutters. Somehow, I’ve owned these for 33 years and have still never made Halloween Pail cookies.

There's close-up photos, then there's Birdie on this McDonaldland Cookies box from 1982...
