From 1947-61, the Chicago Bears’ offices (plus a sporting goods store owned by “Papa Bear” George Halas) were a half-block west of Ladner Bros. “Home of Cohasset Punch” saloon. Coaches, staff, and players frequented the bar, and Cohasset Punch was reportedly a favorite tipple of Papa Bear himself.

I have it on good authority that Cohasset Punch was a favorite drink of Papa Bear Halas — the Ladner Bros. “Home of Cohasset Punch” bar was a half-block east of the Bears headquarters from 1947-61, and a half-block west from 1961-76. The bar was torn down two months after they won Super Bowl XX.
