Honestly par for the course in current UK office culture. The illusion of work being done and responsibility being taken on is far more important than the actual reality of it happening.

I'm shocked people are even trying to do this. In the project world best practice abandoned minute-taking for actions, risks, decisions etc. decades ago. They're creating longwinded AI documents which they will then ask AI to summarise for them. What a waste of everything.

The real issue isn’t immigration, it’s the feedback loop: platforms amplify anxiety → voters feel it → politicians chase it → hollow policy follows. Until we break that cycle, we won’t get functional decisions or functional democracy.
