Just to let people know: yes, I think the caucus is antidemocratic and favor the non-working classes

no we are not going to change that by refusing to participate in them

Please note that my remarks are limited to Colorado, because I know what you have to do to get a real challenger on the primary ballot. Wherever you are, focus on that. We need to get it done.

Show up to the caucus. Bring a friend.

Get primary challengers on the ballot so we can get the people who are coasting along out of government.

This is because most Coloradans don’t realize that caucusing is part of the process.

As an example: the last time I caucused for a candidate, there were three people there for my district. We were electing five representatives. Me showing up, by myself, got two reps for the candidate I was caucusing for.

Caucusing is how we get candidates on the ballot to challenge the feckless among us.

It takes VERY FEW people to shift the caucus.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

The Senate might fold, but I sure as hell won’t.

Families are getting crushed by rising costs & as these healthcare tax credits expire, it’s only going to get worse.

And now the Senate wants us to “trust” them to fix it later with a debate on a bill, maybe?

I’m a F-NO!

The Calvinball conservatism embraced by Trump and his Supreme Court might be super popular with the sickos in the GOP base, but it is wildly unpopular with the 70% of voters who do not fit that description.

It's good news that the court is not going to be reconsidering Obergefell this term...but the emphasis in that sentence should fall on THIS TERM. There is absolutely no reason to believe that this court won't change its mind in the future, just as they did with Roe.

"Obergefell is settled law" is to the 2028 election what "Roe is settled law" was to the 2016 election. Roe and Obergefell are supported by a majority of voters. Republicans will try hard to convince independents that Obergefell is safe, nothing to see here...just as they did with Roe in 2016 & 20.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

That’s shameful.

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.
