Too right! Economics is a scam discipline like chiropractic or damp proofing.

One of the main ones was blaming estate agents for house prices rising, as if people don’t make offers, and prices are falling in real terms anyway.

Housing associations don't get enough hate.

But you can't vote the bosses out or go and shop elsewhere, there's no mechanism to get them to perform competently.

So they can go about killing people with dangerous defects and mould, smugly secure in their charitable status.

It's amazing what you can achieve when your economy isn't entirely based around rent-seeking and makework bullshit!

Some of these are a big Grey Plague but the fancy version has a bit more texture from materials like concrete, marble and clay.

Standing up to fascism is more important than any one organisation and the cosy middle class jobs it provides to its bosses.

People are still using covid as a flex to appear virtuous in 2025?

Not fighting for what they purport to believe in is sending a terrible message to their young members.

But preserving the bosses jobs is always the number 1 priority of charaties.

I used to get beaten up quite a lot as a gay teenager in leafy Hampshire, but living in e.g. central Salford, the east end of Glasgow, and Tower Hamlets - meant to be a no-go zone - I've never had any problems at all.

Partly it's Covid kids who've missed out on some developmental stages.

But there seems to be a gender aspect too. When women experience violence, it's overwhelmingly from men they know, but the fear gets expressed as a fear of the city, of strangers, and of the night.
