I bought my keffiyeh for solidarity purposes and to look resplendent but it’s been the most useful thing I’ve ever bought.

A blanket if you have to sleep somewhere unexpectedly, or a nice shawl to keep your shoulders warm watching box sets on the laptop.

Does being a 50s sideboard gay represent an appreciation of good design which most gays would naturally have?

Or does it depend on an exposure to midcentury design (e.g. at one’s grandparents house) to cultivate this taste, that younger queers won’t have experienced?
