Remember last year Louisiana had an unwritten policy forbidding DPH from promoting flu & Covid shots; LA became epicenter of most severe flu season since universal flu vaccination began. A nurse on Bsky said there was a similar unwritten policy in TX. Yes, spread the word to everyone!!! #flu #covid

Perhaps the teacher could teach the history of polio in the US prior to the vaccine, i.e., "Until the vaccine [in US] polio outbreaks paralyzed more than 15,000 people, mostly children, annually but decreased to less than 10 a year in the 1970s."

What to do about AI inventorship is a hard problem. The prior PTO guidelines, now withdrawn, at least tried to grapple with it. The current approach is simply to say that people can be inventors, AI can't, and assume that ignoring AI conception somehow takes care of the problem. It doesn't.
