I need a new option on steam. Filter out reviews whining about 'AI slop' in games that state on the store page they used AI.
I do not give a fuck about anti-AI activist drivel. If you want to boycott a game because of AI, feel free, but don't copy paste your bullshit in every forum and review.

Watched a classic star trek: deep space nine episode, and suddenly realised that quarks 'tacky' dream version of the ferengi divine treasury is basically trumps idea of a ballroom.

People get WAY too focused on the US stock market. To read comments online, you would assume the global stock market is the Nasdaq, and mostly the mag7, and the only possible trade is (very dangerous) options trading, and every other stock or country is 'europoors' etc. Here is a Spanish stocks ETF

If Trump wants to start a fight over the BBC, lets start a fight over the hyper-violent, hyper-aggressive gun-obsessed bullshit 'culture' that netflix, apple etc pump into UK households. Lets tax the fuck out of the US streaming companies normalizing gun violence for UK kids. FFS stand up to him.

Apple fans are certifiable idiots. Exhibit A: appleinsider.com/articles/25/...
I used to be a mac tech, back in the imac days. They are not made out of pixie dust and magic. An iphone is the same as a samsung phone. They are not exclusive either, they are common. Triumph of marketing over product.
Costly iPhone Pocket sells out nearly immediately
The spiritual successor to the iPod Sock, Apple's new iPhone Pocket, is sold out across the US, in both sizes, and all colors despite its high cost.

I don't think this will actually happen. But if it does, the UK should simply start subjecting the actions of US-owned social media platforms in this country to British law. Incitement, defamation, intellectual property.
Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

Ok, if you like theater and are in the UK, go see To Kill A Mockingbird. Its seriously good. Not an easy watch. But very very well acted and cast and very powerful.
Best play I have seen in a long time.

At a stage version of To Kill A Mockingbird. Very very good, but also hits very differently in 2025. Attitudes that I always thought were ancient US history suddenly feel painfully contemporary. Shocking and very relevant to today.

In the global electrification race China is marching ahead.

The US and Europe risk falling behind clinging on to yesterday's technologies.

Last month China decided on the contents of its next Five Year Plan.
Our govt cannot keep a plan for more than 2 hours.
And the US is even worse.
Its a clown show. We need grown-ups as politicians, not petty whiny children.

Where are the billionaire tech bros who are moving heaven and earth to solve climate change?
We used to have Elon Musk and Bill Gates. Now one is a fascist ketamine addict asshole, the other is just doing what Trump tells him to.
Imagine being a BILLIONAIRE and letting someone bully you.
Cowards.

If UK chancellor Rachel Reeves avoids an obvious income tax rise, but fiddles with tons of little tax rises, the markets will hate it, the right wing tabloids will hate her anyway, reform will bang on about 'stealth taxes', there will be leadership challenges, and we get a reform (fascist) win.
November 14, 2025 at 9:41 AM
We need thicker-skinned politicians. Ones that know that 1m angry people who vote for certain parties and read certain newspapers will be furious at you, but also know there are 50 million other people who silently will be ok with it.
Right now the UK is being run in fear of that tiny group. Madness

A friend of mine said that his eight year old kid wanted a 3-D printer for Christmas.
To me, a child of the very late sixties, who wanted a train set for Christmas, I feel like I am living in some amazing high tech future of jetpacks and space hotels.
Yes, Its me, the 'isn't technology amazing' guy.

The software I need to control what colour the lights in my new PC are, is a 500MB installer.
Let that sink in.
The average programmer on that project must have a single digit IQ. How is this even possible? How did nobody say 'WTF'?

It absolutely beggars belief that with all the evidence we have of climate change there are still people who deny it exists. While countries like the USA roll back what little moves there have been to tackle it, the situation is getting pretty dire for the planet.

If you think Boston Dynamics or maybe Tesla or even Figure are the world leaders in producing serious numbers of humanoid robots then... this video may be of interest. I thought it must be CGI, but perhaps not? Who can tell these days!

The indie games industry has become less about making an interesting or cool game, and now purely about social media follower counts and following trends.
TBH not sure I want to be in it any more. I'm still working on my game (Ridiculous Space Battles) for fun, and I'll release it, but still sad.
