Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.
As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Helen Richey was the first woman pilot hired by a US commercial airline (1934). The all-male pilots’ union pressured the airline to remove her, claiming women were “temperamentally unfit” to fly in bad weather.

6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.
