We did sometimes have a sprinkle of cinnamon. And some margarine to hold it on.

Sure, I think we can do better. Right now we're not even doing this, though, so maybe we could start somewhere.

That's literally like the list of what we'd get from the USDA place when I was a kid. The canned peanut butter... I love that these people are like "sounds like some other place in a long ago time." It was the 90s and I have no shame in saying it made my life now possible.

And about that 13 year old, who was made to *voluntarily* self deport. It’s horrifying that this kid was forced to make that decision, and be sent away from his family and friends. Horrifying. open.substack.com/pub/ruthzaka...

Absolutely and why I'll keep showing up whenever @etelhaxhiaj.bsky.social needs us to. Grateful to be in a community that has people like her that put themselves between ice and her constituents. Even if some of our neighbors don't see it that way.

So similar to the Eureka Street story, where we also lost a Brazilian teen from our community to self deportation (which I know you know).

And Chelsea has seen enough activity that their schools are going to be facing a huge funding shortfall next year if the state doesn't take up some kind of hold harmless on the majorly dropped student count.
