really one of the things that I would be concerned about would be accidentally hitting the neck of the tube with a hair dryer or melting plastic parts like trim pots
in practice, I think you'd be fine, but I hesitate to endorse it. so I say go with god if you decide to blow dry.

there's always the risk of ESD when handling electronics and some folks might caution against using blown air without some form of mitigation in place. one of my main concerns any time working on vintage hardware is to avoid anytime that could damage hard to get ICs.

and don't poke around near the CRT chassis when it's running if you aren't familiar with safe procedures for adjusting them.
they are not as dangerous as people make them out to be when handled with care. just do your homework if you have issues and want to self-repair

if you really want to be safe you could test the power supplies with an artificial load on each power rail.

Smooth auto-configured virtual displays based on client capabilities and properties is the main draw for me.

Have been playing with this tech for a few years at this point and it keeps getting better and better. You can run into some hurdles here and there w.r.t. host displays, HDR, resolution, framerate, etc. but since switching over to the Sunshine fork Apollo, it's been smooth sailing.

(I don't think anyone's wrong for wanting discovery to be automated, nuance is tough with character limits)

Maybe algo. recommendations were never a goal. No idea if I'm representative of the average user, but I like the work of finding new music. I don't want for it to be automated. Maybe their product people agreed – they used to have decent editorial by genre, but new owners laid off union writers.
