Really appreciate you posting these. Seems like the Kickstarter exclusive was the 4 volume boxset. The 4th volume is a reference guide for releases.

My friend's doggy-care fell through, so I have a spare ticket to the PUP / @jeffrosenstock.bsky.social show tomorrow at Brooklyn Paramount. Ticket can be transferred via the LiveNation app. Asking $30.

Great get from this month's @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social Vintage Magazine subscription!

You can get one for October and support their mission at the same time!

Brought it home (of course) and it booted right up! Once the days are a bit shorter and I'm spending more time indoors, I look forward to a complete disassembly and restoration. It's in decent shape overall but it's got the usual amount of dirt and grime you'd expect to find on a dumpster find.

It's been a while since i retro computer-posted!!

I did a little e-waste dumpster diving during lunch. I snagged a VG+ Lime Green Xbox One controller and was quite pleased with that find before spotting a lil briefcase-lookin thing near the pile in the back. Sure enough, I spotted a luggable PC!

Good evening, Chris!! Should I pull the trigger on a used 8106 for $250? Is that a decent deal? Should I haggle?

They say they'll vacuum and steam clean them before the sale... they have a couple dozen it looks like. Happy to pass along a tip via DM if you have friends in the area in need of chair.

Dialing in the half-lapped joinery on my cheapo table saw.

Shout out to Stumpy Nubs on YouTube for demonstrating the technique using a scrap piece of wood the thickness of the saw kerf and a stop block.

Does this hardware exist? I am trying to make modular/removable fence panels for a raised garden bed but not sure how to best mount them. I could have sworn I've seen this sort of arrangement before but couldn't locate anything similar at Home Depot. I have no idea how to search for this.

I think this stuff must be part of some homeowner rite of passage.

My current situation. Took two weeks to get a plumber and roofer coordinated enough to move forward with repairing a leak around a plumbing vent stack.

Have not been able to use this closet. All my clothes are in the basement.

I've finally gotten the end game in-home streaming setup with the Sunshine fork named Apollo. The latency is almost entirely unnoticeable - we're talking sub-frametime delays at 60fps. See stats in image overlay / alt text.

Shit is really messed up right now in the world and a lot of people are just pretending this is normal. I am coping by getting more involved in my local community and by making good food for myself and partner. Hope you can find something, too.

Here's tonight's dinner: pork tonkatsu.

Neat post popped up on a 'retro gaming' Facebook group (I know...)

From the author:
"Picked up these factory Majesco Game Gear boards on eBay. The seller said his dad worked at the factory. I'm blown away. These are going to look great in a frame!"

Looks like 2 GGs worth of PCBs on a single panel.

I'm getting a fairly solid 60fps with this build, which is good enough for a decent experience. It's a huge upgrade over the juddery laptop experience from before.
