Today, a duology that makes its way onto my screen this season. Starring a who's who of 50s-70s cinema along with some more modern faces, it follows two men aging as gracefully as they can and the families that love them.

After putting a few weeks between me and Bugonia, I've decided to update my rating from 4* to 5*. As much as I really wanted to dislike this film due to my experiences with Yorgos's prior work, I just can't. That scene between Emma and Aidan just...I can't.

Continuing Thanksgiving Week, the movie that proves that Millennials CAN NOT give these kids crap for 6-7. A sweet, family comedy starring an MTV mainstay who made a smooth transition to comedic films. And this one stars a young Carla Gugino!

Alright Academy, I need to see a nom for Best Supporting Actor for Aidan Delbis this year. I keep seeing folks talking about Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, but very few have taken the time to recognize the performance that this young man gave us in Bugonia.

So I'm working on a new podcast series called From Silence to Streaming that covers genre films from the early 1900s through today. It's going to be patreon only, but I'm really excited to dive into some early 20th Century films that I'm less familiar with.

For the last day of Sword & Sorcery week, my pick will be controversial. This movie, while in a sci-fi setting, is pure sword & sorcery. With soundtrack by Queen, Flash Gordon was a moving comic strip in 1980 and still holds a place in my heart.

To say this #LetterboxdFriday wraps up an eclectic week of movie watching would be an understatement. This #LastFourWatched is a weird mix of absurd comedy, love and betrayal, swords and sorcery, and some good old fashioned indie horror.
