I think this is definitely more down to how folks are choosing to take the movie than anything else, since looking back at OC/Fire Ant, only one person is choosing to wrap the arms around the waist, and others are tall enough to need to tuck in to the side to take the move safely.

He literally had exposes and interviews through his Senatorial career and right before inauguration detailing his struggles with his stutter and how he manages it in the day to day.

Not to mention folks who have to manage stutters of their own seeing the condition being used as somehow the biggest proof positive that Biden was braindead.

also, like, he was old, and he talked like old man, especially one that grew up with a stutter, to run at that full force and ignore the other drooling old man yelling awful things clearly was obscene, I don't know how any old people weren't offended to the point of not voting maga, but they did.

Except Mark is doing the exact opposite of what you say he does. He's not conceding the stutter as a problem that keeps Biden from doing his job, he's just saying it exists. It's the folks he's calling out that either pretend it doesn't exist or that it still meant Biden failed as president.

No matter how many times they acknowledge the manifest failures of the media or the endless lies of the GOP, they will ALWAYS believe an unnamed “Democratic consultant” in Axios. They don’t even have a moment’s pause to believe them.

Again, so much of where we're at is because folks continue to believe that Republicans are the most qualified to speak as to what Dems actually say and believe, and that actual Dems are the least qualified to do so.

And yet folks will still persist in acting like Dems could just bully them into being on Dems' side and "don't even try".

Republicans get anyone and everyone in the media to line up to do their dirty work for them. Democrats can't get that.

Unfortunately, they tried it again the next time around, and it fucking worked because the right people either got cold feet and got baited or let their own ambitions tank their and everyone else's futures to shoot their shot.

Because Mark's point is that even conceding his actual ailments, it was *never* to the point of anything that the media tried to make it, and his next post even makes the point that there was no point where he was so incapacitated that he couldn't observe the duties of office.

I think the only mistake here is pretending the media was snowjobbed rather than Nuzzi's star being a symptom of the media's venality and willingness to invent narratives at the most minor of excuses.
