I’ve lived a long time; it’s all still a mystery to me. Teaching others how to work for social justice, spiritual peace, and a flourishing world. Sociologist and scholar of religion. This is a personal account, you might see cat and garden photos.

I’m cringing every time I see or hear “underage girl” or even worse, underage woman. That references their whole value and humanity only in relation to when men can legally have sex with them. Even the “good guys” are doing this. Please think this through. I think girl or child is pretty clear.

Monday November 3 was national sandwich day. My friends, we have almost a year to make plans for this holiday in 2026. I think we should go big. #Sandwich #SandwichGuy

The moon through our clerestory window tonight. I often post pictures like this under “me and the moon”. It kind of looks like a blue wave, so I’ll call it “us and the moon” tonight.

Local law enforcement in about 2700 large and small communities demonstrated their competence in protecting and serving the people of the United States as large crowds peacefully protested. I’m curious how anyone would believe that National Guard troops need to be sent anywhere. #NoKings

ZERO arrests at No Kings in NYC. (And the NYPD isn’t notorious for being sympathetic with people anti-Trump.)

This proves what shameless liars Speaker Mike Johnson & Karoline Leavitt are to slander the participants as violent anarchists.

Sometimes the sheer idiocy of this moment overwhelms me. The idea that our convicted felon POTUS who incited an attack on DC police then pardoned the attackers & who's the most corrupt official in US history is going on an "anti-crime" ride-along in a city w/falling crime rate is...(brain explodes)

The rain toppled all but one stem of our stargazer lily plants. Each main stem was over 6 feet tall this year. So, here we are with the fallen flowers. I’m not sad, we needed the rain. #flowers #lily #gardening
