It’s funny catching wind that my posts against generative ai have raised a few eyebrows and pissed a few people off. I’d love to be able to give a fuck, but first I’d need to steal a million fucks from other people, and have a machine randomly assemble small parts of those fucks together for me

Absolutely sucks to see people I care about succumb to ai offloading. Piece by piece replacing their creativity, voice and opinions with dice rolls. Not faster or better, just less present in their own lives.

Start small. Give yourself SMALL goals you can complete quickly, while inspiration and courage hold out.
There ARE people whose first writing work is a series of epic novels. But they are rare.
When you are starting, make a goal of a page, a paragraph, even a sentence.
Completion is triumph.
