Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.

Americans overall will spend billions of dollars celebrating love on Valentine's Day — including on greeting cards, which have been circulating in some form since at least the 15th century. https://to.pbs.org/4kAeW5V
Love is fleeting but these vintage valentines are worth keeping
If you're looking for inspiration, the Library of Virginia has a collection of a few hundred postcards and greeting cards dating back to the early 20th century.

Trump and Republicans are spending billions of tax dollars on ICE to terrorize our communities, golden ballrooms, and private jets.

They’re paying for it by cutting support for Medicaid and SNAP and making health care unaffordable for millions of Americans.

there’s something for everyone to do on this list, even if you can’t protest in the streets
Minnesota organizers want us to help turn up the heat on the state's biggest regime-friendly corporations. Contact Target, Hilton, Enterprise, Home Depot, and Delta Airlines to demand they take action to get ICE out of our communities FOR GOOD.

Free Liam Ramos and his father. Releasing this five-year-old and dad from custody and letting them return home is morally and legally imperative.

It's unconscionable to negotiate DHS funding until this happens, Noem and Miller resign and more.

Trump lost Georgia in 2020.

But today he continued his sore loser’s crusade with an FBI raid (!) on a Georgia election office.

From Minnesota to Georgia, we’re watching the President unravel, weaponizing federal law enforcement for personal power and revenge.

We must stop him.

I just ordered a few boxes of cookies to support this amazing Brownie troop in Minneapolis.
“We are a Minneapolis 2nd grade Brownie Troop of 12 including trans and neurodiverse youth and 75% BIPOC kids. We want to go to summer camp and try horseback riding! During the current ICE occupation we need your support more than ever...”

And that’s how I ordered 4 boxes of thin mints.
A friend shared with me a girl scout cookie link from a group that's having a hard time selling in Minneapolis right now.

This is where we are.

Trump’s goons tackled and murdered a guy (who was a Boy Scout as a child) when he was helping a woman they had pepper sprayed knocked to the ground.

And Trump’s team is lying about it.
