Btw, the foster kittens my mother was watching have been handed over and replaced with their mother and two older generations.

This one has a mild eye infection, or it may just be the remnants of precautionary eye meds. In all the shorthair white cats, of course one kitten would be a fluffy black cat! I believe this one is a year old. The other white cat. I’m guessing this is the mother, but don’t hold me to it. Whoever is the mother had so many litters in as short a time frame as medically possible, because Winchester is full of ignorant rednecks who screw things up even when they care. Typical Winchester redneck trash: The cat family was clearly cared for, but the carer never thought to trap and neuter… leading to an asshole overriding the carer and deciding the cats were too much. The cats were put in a box and abandoned on a road. Awful, and/or awfully stupid people in this town.

Had a surprise guest visit today. (Drove me to get my migraine meds when I was so shaky I was THREE HOURS behind schedule!) Told him my meds expired at 8pm and I’d turn into a pumpkin, and at 7:45 my body sent the “Kerplunk! You’re FUCKED!” signal!

Now I’m nodding off as cats passive-aggressive me.
I was so out of it this morning, I was three hours behind schedule! I only had appeared briefly at 10am to give cats morning meals, with Pearl, my light gray tabby shorthair cat, only getting a momentary pet through the blanket she was under. When I got the surprise visit, Pearl hadn’t seen me yet. Normally she’d hide all day, but today, with no early attention, she spent almost all day in the kitty couch fort, so I could pet her while chatting with my visitor. Good girl! When the visitor left, there was a crash downstairs, as Pearl was surprised we’d walk down where she’d moved. This is a photo of her mad at me for catching her hiding under a desk after she got surprised. Poor girl.

A new Rhenna attempt and the Meret I had forgotten to photograph from before. With heavy photo editing to save me from nasty left-handed skew.

I found a mat in his fur, and that attempt to help got him to scold me and finally leave me alone. But… you need my help, Pirate!

Btw, Pearl, his sister, immediately began yelling at me and took Pirate’s spot. (Pirate is now downstairs yelling at all the ghosts.)

Every time I have picked up a pencil to sketch today, a certain someone has immediately ruined it by running into me and yelling for attention.

But if you pick him up and hold him like the baby he is, he cries even more!

Now he’s in my lap, scolding me if my petting isn’t perfect. Cats are jerks.

Realizing now the few in-focus pics I got were all of the sister who has those sad meme kitten eyes! The brother played too hard and often ran away assuming I was gonna steal his toy! (He would walk up to me if I held a toy as offering, but that occupied hand meant I didn’t have my camera ready!)

My mother will soon be switching out with this pair’s older siblings and mother. The little social sweeties will go on the fast track to adoption. Mom gets the potential tougher cases!

My Aimovig reorder’s indeed overdue. Dang, do I hate how sick I am that I can tell when my body’s EXTRA out of balance. Needing meds to live is terrible, cuz “let’s cut down your treatment and I bet it’ll be fine” is the disabled “just lose weight and all problems are solved!”

This Rhenna sketch is a joke to myself. In the story, before she joins the cast (and in the penultimate arc, when she’s gone rogue) she would leave strips of her signature blue dress at inns, with a symbol painted on it letting Aaron know what name to use when asking, “I believe you have a package for me… *sigh* Mr. Smoochy Boi.” I was using a barely-dressed ref of a fox girl to attempt a Rhenna, and when I do I always draw the resulting character in extra clothes for justice. I wanted a result where Rhenna could be either fixing it or tearing off strips. And I focused so much on adding and playing with clothes I botched the anatomy in a thousand ways! Dammit. Some refs just don’t work for me. The green lead is in the pencil I have in my poorly-lit bedroom, with a less-than-perfect drawing space, resulting in very simple sketch of moping Natalia. (In this version, she’s a fluffy brown tabby type with long curly hair.)

Been struggling with migraines, and I either forgot it was Aimovig refill time or I should accept the flexibility of mental forgiveness with blue lead is countered by how brittle it became as it aged.

All I’ve “finished” is this 2/3 of a Meret and a Rhenna I forgot to photograph. (We’ll see.)
Meret, the Siamese cat teen in the Precociousverse version of my in-my-head test project Momentum. I really, really gotta redo her outfit, as the practical version that’d make sense for her is a hell of tangents unless her long braids are blowing perfectly in the wind. Oh well! (Yes, you can laugh at how all my character designs are instantly defeated when the characters - who are walking across a continent and back MOSTLY ON FOOT - are drawn carrying their standard luggage accessories! This is why Momentum isn’t a *real* story!)

Little Stuff, a dark gray shorthair cat, is in the process of standing up after napping on a cat tower. There are two more cat towers in the frame of the photo, showing how much I spoil my kitties. You can even see Lula - the only cat smaller than Little Stuff - standing atop one and trying to feel important back there! That spoiled brat would toss a cricket at me multiple times a little while later. (The cricket was soon thrown outside, before I realized I had to finish porch kitty duties on my porch in the dark, while I was barefoot. I avoided it, but now I’m imagining bugs crawling on my skin constantly! Argh!)

Let’s complete the litter with Mo! A pic from today, then pics from when the siblings were babies!

My mom adopted Mo after he got separated from his family when very young cuz he was infested with fleas. Unsurprisingly, Mo, who looks like he’s 50% Pirate and 50% Pearl, has big middle child energy.
Mo the brown tabby shorthair cat, from today. The camera angle manages to cut off his entire rear half while also making it look like he’s carrying the pot to a cursed tree on his back. Big yokai energy here! Mo’s siblings, photographed all sharing a cat tower. Big Dipper, from the litter before, is overflowing the top tier of the tower, while the kitten versions of Pirate and Pearl share the lower tier, with room left over. It could’ve been for Mo! Alas, he was adopted by my mother before we knew Pirate and Pearl even existed, and missed the family party. (Which would have been too much for me to handle anyway!) A photo of Pirate and Pearl as kittens, just after being brought inside, napping on their mother, who voluntarily came inside to care for her abducted kittens! The mom looks a lot like Little Stuff, which explains the comedy of all the kitten siblings, who were obsessed with Little Stuff, as she panicked over the excessive familiarity of strange cats! Kitten Mo, sleeping hard on my mother’s lap. Even when little, he was still a 50/50 mix of the kitten versions of his littermates, Pirate and Pearl.

I got one ok-ish Rhenna sketch done despite my low-light bedroom sketch spot, but everything else has been extra sketchy and simple cuz I can’t tell if the line even went down right! (I have since reinstalled the desk light, but still don’t have the settings right yet! Nooo…)

Rhenna is an anthro red fox, but desaturated if she’s been in color, with thick wavy hair, in this format. Her standard cowl neck dress has a different collar here. Very errant lines were drawn and I tried incorporating them! It’s a joke with me that all my plans are just trying to draw characters sitting down, but with all limbs visible enough they don’t look like an amputee. (I jokingly call my ref folder “furry porn,” and it’s seriously 99% clothed characters sitting! Got ya, phone snoops! I’m a strip cartoonist whose horizontal format meant I’m now VERY insecure about drawing legs - especially if I’m supposed to anthro them. Gross.) It does not always result in the most organic pose! Various loose sketches of Rhenna. I couldn’t see enough for details, so I drew fast and gave up! There’s something (or many things) terribly wrong with all sketches, but with enough on the page you can kinda average them out and figure out what she’s supposed to look like when not ruined by my hand.

My blue lead is soooo brittle, cuz it’s oooold. (And I currently lack controoool!) I used to burn through supplies drawing comics daily, and then… medical malpractice and American healthcare! Two great* tastes that go great* together!

(*maybe another word should be used.)

An orange (status magic) mage (according to Momentum’s Magic system), her standard move is to zap you with electrical stun magic, so do not trust her vixen smile.

This is Aaron and Rhenna, the “interpreter” partners of my testing ground story, Momentum, that exists in a quantum state where the story plays out in about a hundred different ways! Because, if my comic Precocious continued, it would be a video game with a cartoon adaptation of one version of its story. (The draw of the video game is you can use amiibo-like figures of the Momentites to change how the story plays out, so I can write a scene for whatever scenario I want when I wish to practice plotting!) Aaron is flashy nerd linguist, with a flashy deep blue vest with gold embroidery, and a “tactically-casual loose ponytail. In this version, he’s an anthro Russian blue cat. Rhenna is an anthro red fox, but in grayscale. (This story element worked a lot better in the human version of Momentum, but I got lucky a gal whose surname is “Cherrycoat” due to her family’s notable red hair through countless generations, but hers came out silvered because that’s a sign one has magic in this world, has a fairly obvious anthro parallel! Aaron is also a gray-furred thing, and a mage himself, but his coloring actually came as a dark-skin adaptation, from a mother who’d be of Fantasy Iranian heritage in a human version of the story, so he’s not slivered.) Rhenna’s outfit is a cowl neck dress with a sash around the waist. Her thick wavy hair is clipped back, and flares out below the clip spot. She’s flashing some of her “status magic” - aka: stunning your ass with magical shock! Everyone’s anatomy is slightly out of proportion, and I ask you overlook it and imagine them as they’re supposed to look.
