I love Alton Brown. His old Good Eats show taught me so much about food and cooking.
However, his turkey recipe is a travesty worthy of a class action lawsuit. Overly complicated, overly expensive, and just plain not good.

Having lived through (and survived) the wet-brining mid-aughts, I cannot overstated how much easier it is to dry-brine.
What an ordeal it was to bring a giant lobster pot full of water, salt and spices to a boil before finding a container large enough to hold the turkey submerged in brine

I love Alton Brown. His old Good Eats show taught me so much about food and cooking.

1) Too soon. Way too soon.
2) We need more movies and tv shows set in New Mexico. And if we can’t have that, maybe a GoPro strapped to @zzbenz.bsky.social as she socializes with the locals?
