Liberal settlerism is no less violent than the “extreme” settlerism. It can only exist because of the more overtly violent wing and is actively engaged in perpetuating settler violence by maintaining the illusion that a more humane version of it is possible.

A german pilot project is deploying enforcement officers to draft young people who can’t find work to do highly exploitative labor. Under the threat of having their welfare cut and potentially revoked entirely they have to work 40 hours a week for €1.20 an hour.
