I like the part where now the nice Congressman will politely ask for a status update once a week, and Noem will have been too busy "conferring" with Lewandowsky to get around to it. She promised she would "look into it"; she's probably already forgotten.
Yeah, this happened.

Hot Take on Resignations:
People need to assess Noem, Hegseth, RFK & Co more realistically.
Could Drumpf throw them all under the bus? Sure, if the alternative was him suffering the least bit of trouble.
Otherwise? They're doing what he wants.
Impeachment or bust, folks. Noise is fine, but breathe.

On Drumpf's pardon power in all this, listen:

Under 50? Still have a mortgage to pay? That pardon will hang around your neck 10x as visible as the scarlet letter, and 100x heavier than the mariner's albatross.

Scrub and scrub, that stain's not coming off. Come 2040, no one will want you around.

Somebody has to start doing the job of monitoring, Fox News, broadcasts , etc. with an eye toward identifying the little statements they start to make that can serve as cover when it all hits the fan. They know it’s going to hit the fan. They are probably making those statements now.
Not me!

Drumpf's NG deployments (LA, DC, Portland, Chicago, TN) apparently cost the taxpayer over $600/day/soldier, totaling around $473 M so far. (Institute for Policy Studies)

Totally on the federal dime, meaning taxpayers, meaning us.

Waste, fraud and abuse, I'd like you to meet your father.

So according to the law as reported, Drumpf can only be kept out of the Epstein files if:
a) he's not in them
b) he's a victim
c) the DoJ in the next three weeks launches an investigation into his involvement with an eye toward criminal charges.
That last would be ballsy, have to admit.

First word I've heard of this. Another bombshell.
November 26, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Um... ::raises hand :: Isn't the fact that Musk shut off Twitter's location feature in a couple hours, evidence that he didn't even know how many MAGA accounts were bots from Russia, et al?

Never. Never. Underestimate the stupid.

When you hear Drumpf say that NPR is very unfair, very unfair, and smirk as he announces their devastating budget cut, remember:
If he could have done the same financially to all the major networks, he would have. In fact, that's part of what the lawsuits are about.

Maybe the best thing about the furor from the WH over the Epstein files is that it clearly has pulled the Once and Future Former President from his normal routine of wrecking the country.
Golf is a constant, best of all if he played 24x7x365. But absent that, he either screams and waffles or governs
November 17, 2025 at 1:34 PM
Every single outburst from the White House this past week has been an admission that he knew what was going on, that he kept up with Epstein long after he "threw him out". Which he didn't.
I'm thinking it has to be much worse than "he raped them".
It's probably more like "he had one of them killed".

Liberty Vote bought Dominion (of Fox-crushing fame) last month. I'm like, wha' hoppen? Guy who runs it speaks fluent 2020 conspiracy theory, this can't be good.
November 13, 2025 at 11:19 PM
It's not just trying to strong-arm the GoP women that impresses me.
It's the incredibly clumsy, last-second, horribly organized way they tried to do it.
Full-on classic MAGA, folks. They mean ill, sure, but never underestimate the stupid.
November 13, 2025 at 3:36 PM
There are significant indications that both the DoJ and the Epstein Estate have SIGNIFICANTLY more relevant material in their possession than the House has now.
No Democrat is seriously suggesting any of their past leaders should be redacted.
Let's go people. No more deflection.

Am I missing something? Or does the CR Senate vote mean, since it's an amendment, that the House would have to come back in session to vote on it?
Because if that's true, then this could be genius. Johnson's stuck, because a session means seating Grijalva, and that means files.

Legal scholar John Pfaff as quoted by Heather Cox Richardson:
November 5, 2025 at 12:42 PM
Drumpf endorsed Cuomo because he thinks he can get more mileage out of panty-twisting over a socialist as mayor.
Johnson has claimed ignorance of around a dozen major issues since sending the House GoP home to not hold town halls. Wonder if he's studying...
Bill. The. Feds. SNAP, taxes, everything.
November 4, 2025 at 11:49 AM
Hey grocery stores. Don't give a "discount" to SNAP holders. Just subtract the minimum monthly allowance from their bill as if they had the money now.
Bill the USDA for it.
Everybody bill the feds.
(Kudos to DE Gov Meyer, emergency-funding SNAP in November. Psst- BILL THE FEDS!)
November 3, 2025 at 10:32 AM
Did anyone have "ICE puts more masks on people than Covid" on the 2025 Bingo card?
November 1, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Time to bill the feds.
Can't use state funds to load SNAP card EBTs?
Feds won't send grant money to state colleges?
Drumpf won't use appropriated money for in-state projects?

Keep the federal tax money you've been sending. Spend it on these things instead. Bill the feds for the costs of switching.
November 1, 2025 at 12:19 PM
For somebody who reads tons of news I sure do miss stuff.
Drumpf is abroad insulting female reporters and griping for the gazillionth time about the stupid escalator and teleprompter.
And people there are pointing out- not a word about how someone tried to kill him?
Cartilage doesn't heal, folks.
October 28, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Put a re-staffed ICE under the Census Dept!
They go door-to-door with all the documentation.
They check your history, identity.
Been here four years, no convictions, working a job?
:: stamp, stamp :: Here you go, you're legal now, with a citizenship path if you want it.
Bingo, no longer a criminal!
October 27, 2025 at 11:33 AM
Does everyone grok that Republicans could end the shutdown tomorrow?
Don't even have to nuke the filibuster (which Senators L-U-V). They can just suspend the rule for the one vote (they've done it before), and Creamsickle Caligula can sign it wherever he's flying next to cheat on his golf score.
