Yah, trying to look competent while you're sprawling on the pavement UNDER the folks you're detaining, maybe keep your mask up... not a great look.
He didn't just DO rallies. He PLANNED them.
#StoptheSteal was invented in 2016 BEFORE elections.
Drumpf boasted to Koch that it would be great for ratings.
The whole "would have won the popular vote too, if not for cheating" was improvised.
It was never about becoming president. That's the joke.
See, Drumpf gets a pass on the infection of his own appointments. I hire only the best, you know, but I wasn't well served by the people closest to me, who recommended and kept some very bad people. I confirmed them, of course, but they were not really my hires. Because they were bad. Because...
My guess is he believes that war will raise his approval rating, as well as intimidate his domestic opponents over how he's going to "monitor" upcoming ballot boxes.
Sure, but kind of like putting the Frog in front of ICE, we need to create conditions where nothing they challenge makes them look good.
I would also have to offer Heller, because buying a gun is nothing like joining the well-regulated militia.
And Heller is getting people killed.
We need to be looking at how the plan increasingly looks like keeping the House out of session until at least the mid-terms.
If those even happen.
Those federal monitors better be noticing massive peaceful turnout and a very cold welcome from everyone involved.
Now we're going to see if the mean is for once bigger than the stupid. I'm hopeful.
My guess- they could see that giving the textbook answer would not get them hired. So they were stuck.
Look at their activities, how is that disqualifying (except of course for the law thing)?
I don't. The hiring they've done is clearly dopes who wouldn't know how to operate this military gear.
I think missiles to ICE is about somebody three levels below Drumpf just grifting.
The point about the mediocrity and skill-deficit of secret police, combined with the news that Drumpf is evidently stockpiling things like chemical warheads with ICE et al, is a bit of a balm actually.
Anyone smart enough to use this stuff is probably good enough to refuse to use it on citizens.
This DOES remove the puke-inducing scenario where he runs for his old seat with Mango Mussolini's imprimatur. I was cringing in anticipation of that.
And those drawings too, really ugly!
It's a race between the approaching mid-terms and his deteriorating competence. He can't forbid elections with a hand up his back, and it's getting harder and harder to pretend he's making decisions (other than the revenge moves- the puppeteers let him have that sandbox).
There's been analysis that Putin/Russia gives Drumpf little signals to control his behavior. Maybe now the GoP in Senate is figuring out the same tactic. He'll actually do what they want just to keep them from acting. (Of course, "he" means his puppeteers here).
Keep cracking the whip Thune!
“There are no men like me.”
“There are always men like you.”
Another thing. Ms. Grijalva gets sworn in, there'll be some interval before that vote comes up. During that time, I'd want federal agents to protect exactly 218 people we know of. A few hours, couple days, whatever. The nutjobs would only have to shoot one...
Here's the order in which these things will happen.
1) the mid-term elections
2) somebody reopens the House
3) this case clears the courts.

:: sighs ::
This is the same end they were throwing stuff out the windows a bit back, yes? So they were planning to do this for a long time.
The whole episode stands as clear proof that this lady, like so many of "the best", a) has no real idea what she is doing, and b) operates on emotion rather than reason.
She read what Ms. Bower tweeted, probably not even the source first, and reacted angrily. These are people who think that's OK.
If Vegas put out a line on the re-opening of the House, I would take the over any time up to the mid-term elections.
In today's litigious environment, the House will be back in session before the case completely clears. Guaranteed.
The only question is whether that's before the mid-terms or after.
I'm thinking about how when Notre Dame caught fire they went to the gang from Assassin's Creed for really detailed schematics and (sort of) helped restore it.
And I'm hoping against hope they did an AC game in the White House...

Perhaps a word to the Sargeant at Arms? Let him block the door for a couple seconds next time, make it obvious the pro temp speaker has to recognize the motion.
