It’s interesting that multiple law firms, universities, media outlets, politicians, and corporations have given in to the demands of Donald Trump, while some Indiana Republicans found the backbone to stand up to the wannabe Dictator. The lesson here: Grow a fucking backbone.

Tourism has been a major export business for the US. When foreign tourists come to the US and spend their money, that enters the current account of the balance trade as a service export. Last year this amounted to $250 billion. It’s down at least $30 billion this year. Thank you Mr President.
The US is down at least $30 billion in tourism for 2025. International boycotts and a loss in appeal to visit due to Donald Trump has resulted in millions of trips canceled.

I hope American farmers enjoy the $12 billion in welfare payments they are getting from Trump to mitigate the adverse impact of his tariffs on their exports. No doubt the irony will be lost on them and the rest of rural America, and they will continue to support him.

Of note, Paramount already owns CBS, and if its Warner bid succeeds, will own CNN too. The Ellisons, who control Paramount, are Trump allies. The Paramount bid is backed by the Saudis and Kushner, so we may be looking at more news media control by Trump supporters. www.wsj.com/business/med...
