It’s to clarify that we’re almost exclusively talking about white men here, and the people who have given up their morals in order to stay close to whiteness as a principle for value.

All of the time -- and I mean ALL of the time -- I get messages from people in tech that if we just promoted people with the right engineering degrees, and the Technical People were in charge, all would be fixed. That is why I wrote Why I Cannot Be Technical. You either get it or you don't.

I think Alex has been in the job like three weeks can we let him get going? This is straight up DX & right in the DevRel wheelhouse.
Somehow I, who is a baby dev, knew this stuff, and I know most of the people complaining about OAuth follow the same folks I do.

for the record, completely agree that clarifying these dx gaps (and promoting de facto community solutions) is exactly what I/we should be doing with the docs, I just wasn’t rushing to make OAuth recs while the scopes stuff firms up. I think we can absolutely improve docs here in the next ~3 weeks.

Just a reminder that it’s 2025 and calling out sexism towards women in professions but then failing to name how those same harms also oppress gender diverse individuals (eg. those outside of the binary) shouldn’t be counted as quality activism or allyship.
It’s either all of us or none of us.

currently spiraling out worrying that every single ache and pain in my body is cancer after getting some scary lab results today. Doc told me not to worry, he thinks it’s just an infection, but the anxiety returns in the nighttime’s 🥺

Lmao “devs do not think outside their IDEs” is one of the most denigrating, rude, and short-sighted statements I’ve heard in a long time about developers.
It tells me this person doesn’t know any.
Because the majority of devs I know are deeply moral and thoughtful people.

I know that you, as a developer, are unable to see AI as an enormous problem because devs do not think outside their IDEs, but providing a browser with "safe" slop faucets over a browser that has "unsafe" slop faucets is a false choice.
