I've found its in nearly every system that offers slight amounts rich text, it's actually jarring when its *not* supported (looking at you atlassian softwares)

I see this at so many other places that use this same product (Atlassian Statuspage)
That Statuspage did not have multi-region resiliency is pretty unexpected tbh. Because incident management tools you'd expect to be more resilient.

Not my original observation, but it is funny that Atlassian just spent $600m on an AI-enabled browser, and the day the deal closes OpenAI releases an AI-enabled browser… called Atlas.

Atlassian was down most of the day, whose primary product is Jira, which is used for a significant portion of software development. I can’t imagine how much $ was lost today in lost productivity.

Sedan har väl inte riktigt USA:s utveckling de sista året direkt spelat Atlassian i händerna om man säger så. Återstår att se om man lyckas få de nya initiativen till EU governance cloud från AWS och Azure som görs nu hela vägen i mål. Det har misslyckats förut.

Yeah, simultaneously surprised and unsurprised that Atlassian dropped to ball here. What good is a status page if you can't log in to update it?
Status pages everywhere show green, because Statuspage.io is ALSO down: customers cannot log in to update their status page and indicate the outage their eng teams know about!!
So a fail for Statuspage to depend on an AWS region... or DynamoDB (that seems to depend one AWS region?)

I went to internal IT about the increasing amount of AI showing up in Atlassian products and asked if they could turn it off.
"[CTO] *despises* AI, and everything that CAN be turned off, HAS been turned off."
So, at least it's something that I'm not alone in the company in despising it.

Aktuell hat Amazon AWS wohl gerade massiv Probleme. Betrifft dann auch viele Dienste, die AWS nutzen: Netflix, Signal, Snapchat, Perplexity, Amazon Prime Video, Atlassian usw. usw. 😒 wohl aber nicht in allen Regionen...
