Yes to all this. Rewind back to the way things were before all the 9/11 paranoia made us acquiesce to a bunch of surveillance and paranoia that we never used to have as a country.

I first came across Myranda Kazos bc she was doing investigative reporting on Kristi Noem's complicated web of shifting $$. No one else was covering this. She felt the story was important and sent it to @propublica.org She thought they might work w/ her. Instead, she claims they took her work
