Pour éviter la trumpisation de la France, il faut tenter d’éviter les pièges dans lesquels sont tombés les progressistes américains. A commencer par le communautarisme, la rupture avec l’universalisme, le mépris pour les préoccupations des électeurs de Trump (déclassement, précarité, immigration, pouvoir d’achat, logement, etc.), la légèreté à y répondre, mais aussi la méconnaissance des mécanismes qui nourrissent leur rejet des « experts » et, partant, une certaine irrationalité.
