Finally sharing what I’ve been building for almost a year now! 🐢✨

Atuin Desktop: runbooks that run

It’s open source and in open beta now 🥰

Built for engineers who need repeatable, reliable workflows. No more copy-pasting from slack or outdated docs

I've been spending a lot of time in terminals and TUIs like @continue.dev 's new CLI. I have always felt more comfortable in a terminal then in an IDE. I love my terminal and I spend entirely too much time messing with my dotfiles.

Ship it is a company value.
So 🔥
I love when startups do research and just ship in product. Skip the benchmarking theatre.

Proud of what the team accomplished here. And the best part is you can try it with Ollama right now.

I left the continuous wind, fog, and cold of SF this morning. A drive and a few yard chores later it’s time to remind myself to remember that it’s summer somewhere. 82 with blue skies as far as the eyes can see.

… um. Well. Ah… damn. All three.
Which kind of former coder are you: baking bread, too many synthesizers, or woodworking?

I was on a zoom during a hackathon and heard folks trying to troubleshoot DNS issues.

I once turned a day-long build into 10 minutes by learning cross-compilation. Same energy is happening with AI tools.

‪@chiphuyen.bsky.social‬ tracked AI interruptions (24.5%), found the patterns, fixed her codebase structure.

Intervention rates are the new build times 📊

I’m in my happy place. It’s 90 and blue sky as far as you can see. Soon I’ll head back to whatever we call summer in SF.

We've got an industrial warehouse style heater in our brick and timber office. It kicked on this morning and alarmed an intern.

There is fire in that box.

Yup thats the office heater.

But its summer.

Yup thats San Francisco.

The best decision I’ve made in years was getting a place in the mountains where I can work on a piece of land. Get out of the city from time to time.

I think the term AI skeptic gets tossed around pretty casually nowadays. We are in a shift and all shifts follow a pattern. I know I don’t react well to hype, demo’ware, or do this or you’re doom narratives. Does that make me a skeptic? No, I’m all in, on a future where devs are amplified by AI.
"They don't want the thing they love, that they were present as kids at the beginning of, to be automated, replaced by human shepherding of natural language and remote agent workflows. I believe folks still yearn to type curly braces"

Now what?

Copy the whole thing? Manually find where each piece goes? Watch your indentation break?

And...It's good. Very good.

Just add `anthropic/claude-4-sonnet` or `anthropic/claude-4-opus` to your config.yaml, or add them from the hub:

I'm excited to join @continue.dev as CEO. After working with
@ty.energy and @natesesti.bsky.social first as a user, then advisor, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to help build what I believe in: open developer tools that amplify developers' work without trying to replace them.
