Not a film but they did a whole episode promoting the critic in which James l brooks produced

And one of the 3 original creators and showrunners of simpsons directed it (James l brooks)

I loved that show as a kid. I used to watch that, blues clues, Dora. and little bear as a kid on nick jr

Or have her objectified as much as they can in a pg film whether its stripping her responsibilities away or her clothing

They could have had this conversation regarding smurfs and it still would be horrible to belittle her
December 4, 2025 at 8:25 PM
They could have yelled at her for the smurfs and she still wouldn't have deserved it

I know megan ellison has her flaws too with the annapurna games debacle but at least she tries to put herself in other peoples' shoes and makes projects that truly appeal to different groups (not the same as appealing to every by white male washing everything)

Most of their projects appear to have a mandate that they appeal to white males. Any female oriented or appealing projects or projects focused on a different race appears to be cancelled or put into turnaround.

And it feels like the theatrical releases are nothing more than placating filmmakers and cinephiles
December 4, 2025 at 7:54 PM
And technically netflix has been releasing its big films in a few theaters. Doesn't mean they get promoted anywhere near as much as the big studio films. If anything, Netflix seems to stay further away from theatrical releases each year. Only art houses and the odd chain played wake up dead man

It's a sad state of affairs when between these three options, Netflix is the least bad. And I absolutely don't want that to happen, either.

Really want some other massive company, who won't gut Warner Bros, like Google or Samsung or Porsche or whatever, to swoop in and buy it.

Spielberg makes amazing movies and is a terrific human being. You dont need to be a kubrick, a Cameron, or a tarantino by being a dick in order to make great movies

He's also one of those that refuses to acknowledge toy story 4 exists and that prompted a response from Andrew stanton. Sometimes, directors should stay behind the camera

At least spielberg clearly likes him, considering how he played essentially his father in fablemans

Sorry for deleting my previous post but hit send accidentally before I was fully done making it

Maybe if these people ever think disney is the only great animation studio left.
December 2, 2025 at 7:46 PM
He is doing a death stranding anime series for disney plus so this cameo was probably part of the deal

For every person in Hollywood that gets disillusioned by ellison, another person from MAGA throws their support.

I had uneasy feelings ever since that awful terminator geneshyt movie and grew even more when he hired lasseter. Him being a maga supporter isnt that surprising

Even some people's reactions to mario kart tour are ridiculous and over the top. You think nintendo would burn down a village with that type of reaction
