Much of Caerphilly castle had a dollop of bute cash thrown at it in restoration in Victorian years and gave us a lot of what we had today. Not a bad job and today we could better. Should we ?
Also the water defences were only restored in the 50s - that has to be a good thing ?

For those with memories of porthcawls coney beach or for those who just like regeneration schemes the proposed master plan here.
Would have gone higher, denser myself but looks good on the whole ?

Had a little mooch around a soon To be lost part of Cardiff. 40 odd years old - huge embedded carbon. - it’s a poor decision all this for me. Buildings need to last and be appropriately placed. The arena leaves a lot to be desired.
Do love a good building site mind!!

Penarth headland walk image.
Not sure what to make of this.
I like the idea of an easy walk round (I’ve carried my bike and it’s not an easy walk!)
but not sure this is it ?

Did some industrial stuff today.
The heat here!!
Crazy men used to do all the work now automated. Absolutely crazy physical labour back in the day.

I thought I had a fair grip on most of the nicer designed lost buildings of Cardiff. This is a new one on me. Not sure how special it is but I like it ! Told its on Frederick street but the owner isn’t 100% sure where it was around there so info welcome. (Also salopia house?)

Suggestion this is bleak by others. I like it. If modernised now think this would be thriving 🤔

Lots can be said on Caerphilly by election, and is being. Just seen the full list including two not on the tv panel.
All men. Not mentioned much but Says something still.
Wonder if in future constituencies elect a male and female rep be an approach to consider?

“No man’s land” this evening @ShermanTheatre.
A very powerful piece by @racheltresize
One man show with supporting voices and missed the actors name but was fantastic. The energy he put in was immense.
Catch it if you can

Love this map. You can tell an awful lot about British society based on rock!

Spent most of yesterday in H&S training at a big industrial plant. It really was excellent. They want to look after employees, no question.
Wasn’t always that way in south wales. Most days are dark for king coal, 14 Oct one of the worst
