Lots on my feed about the wales bill. Need to realise to make wales better it's not laws or power, but how we live, learn and act. Up to us!
All things considered gotta be happy with this draw

Now, you would expect me to say this as chair of the board
But frankly this was fantastic. Beat Xmas show I think @sherman theatre have produced.
If you want to support local theatre, start a family tradition, (or leave the family at home even 😉) there are far worse ways to spend a few hours.

The dreamy barrel-vaulted choir ceiling @carlislecathedral.bsky.social. The structure is from circa 1400, but the heavenly painted decoration is from a 19th century restoration, repainted in 1970. #CeilingsOnSunday #Carlisle #Cumberland #Cathedrals

I know welsh rugby has had a shocker today.
But actually our much weakened pro teams have had a cracking weekend.
Dragons of course lost but against Leinster and not hammered
Cardiff win away
Scarlets nil Glasgow at home
Os push Edinburgh close away
That’s not bad !

Much comment on the welsh index of multiple deprivation on here today. And rightly so. Major issue.
Nothing from me as feels like highlighting places or numbers just badges places unfairly. And there are few quick wins too.
Do read if you care though

The Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD) 2025 is designed to identify the small areas of Wales that are the most deprived.

A reminder: Trump 1.0 ordered the Afghanistan withdrawal, and Trump 2.0 granted the shooter asylum this past April. Trump 2.0 also dismantled the joint terrorism task force, and gutted our national security apparatus.

Had not heard of this:
On 27 November 1944, around 4,000t of ordnance detonated at the underground munitions depot in Staffordshire, creating a crater 100 feet deep and over 1,000 feet wide—the Fauld Crator killing 70 people and huge destruction. Crator remains to this day

Ukraine at least will have nuclear weapons by 2030. If every other European nation near Europe doesn’t have a development programme I’d be surprised.
The US security guarantee of the last 70 years is dead
The incipient nuclear-arms race may start in earnest in 2026. A nuclear free-for-all beckons, as China rapidly builds up its arsenal, and America’s allies and foes alike think of going nuclear
The end of nuclear arms control looms
How will Donald Trump handle the demise of New START, the last treaty limiting American and Russian long-range nuclear weapons, which expires in February 2026?

Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running.

This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.
Our Economy Is in Danger. Here’s Why

If you can access this it’s a really interesting read and comparison. I don’t agree with all the solutions but knowing about the comparison - the student aspect is massive - does make you think. Newport has had significant investment over devolution too

There is something in that wales team. But not nearly enough yet.
35 straight defeats to NZ. Maybe time to step back from playing them so often. We aren’t at their table ….
