Alex Pretti had an encounter with ICE agents a week before he was killed and suffered a broken rib. He saw a family being chased by ICE, stopped his car to film; Agents tackled him and one agent leaned on his back so hard that his rib was broken.

I'm not on Tik-Tok, but I read on Reddit: they've taken away the eyes of 50501 movement, you can't say "Epstein", you can't upload anti-ICE videos, no "Massad", no talking about Zionism in a negative way.

I completely agree. A lot of my advocacy is about invisible disabilities and the importance of supporting and accommodating people even when you don’t understand it!

We all have purpose and value. If everyone believed that the world would be a better place.

Disabilities come in varying degrees. I’m disabled, but my disability is minor compared to Wael’s.
Just because someone maybe disabled, doesn’t mean they don’t have purpose.

I’m so grateful to see the outpouring of love and support for Wael’s family.

All too often people look away when a disabled life is lost.

His father deserves to be released to attend the funeral and we must ensure this never happens again.

ICE enforcement is a disability justice issue.

It may also be a mass disabling event.

They target the vulnerable. They deploy chemical munitions around children & in residential areas.

They shoot peaceful protesters with “less lethal ammo”.

Detainees are regularly denied medical care:
ICE Enforcement May Be A Mass Disabling Event
ICE have proven again and again that they will target the most vulnerable. Their aggressive actions may even become a mass disabling event. Why aren't more people talking about it?

Wael spoke to the media in November and talked about how he’s not just losing a caregiver, he’s losing his best friend.

His dad was granted permission to remain in the US.

He was detained at his immigration check in.

He was complying and they took him anyways… and it cost Wael his life:

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.

It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

Common belief: Vegans are a tiny minority so their moral stance is both irrelevant & unrealistic 😤

Reality: If the vegan population were a country they’d be the 18th largest country in the world 🌎
To put that 88 million number into perspective, out of the 230+ countries on the planet only 17 have a population greater than 88 million. If we vegans were a country we’d be the 18th largest country on earth!
Reminder: 88+ MILLION VEGANS EXIST

That may be a small % of the population, but in no way is that a small number. A better world is possible, and we all have a moral responsibility to help make it happen. Join the movement ⚖️
