That is some lame apocrypha. Add characters to Bible stuff, give nameless people names, come up with elaborate backstories, and feature angels warring or something. I need a story about Derek, Pontius Pilate’s loser cousin.

I feel like you have to either go all-in on making it an old fashioned morality play OR you go with some kind of uptight gothic tale nevertheless still a story about transgression OR you accept that you don’t have your own ideas and go to the regular movies.

I do love that Eucharistic prayer now, but the first time I encountered it as a deacon standing by the priest's elbow trying to figure out when to do my thing, that prayer has so many fake-outs before getting around to the Epiclesis

I didn’t realize the liturgy was such that the wrong singing made it cease to be a liturgy at all. What a compete wuss the liturgy must be. Kneel wrong and it dies.
