Over the last 3 years, I interviewed 100+ people under 30 to understand how #MeToo, the fall of Roe v. Wade, the rise of social media and more have changed their sex lives. THE SECOND COMING: Sex and the Next Generation’s Fight Over Its Future is now out in the world. Buy it at your local bookstore.
How fascinating that THIS is the breaking point for the Trump administration and not the many, many men who say that they were sexually abused within the Boy Scouts

So if Olivia is 32 now, broke up with Lizza last year, was together with him for a decade, and then was living with you for 4+ years before that, how old was she when you moved her out of her (presumably parents’) house in the suburbs to live with you?
Btw about this from Lizza's reply: Olivia and I lived together for 4+ years (4 b'days, 4 Xmases, 4 anniversaries). That's like $1250 of jewelry per celebration. And her apartment was a writing studio. And I made an f-ton then. What was I supposed to do? Get her a lot of Gift Certificates from Kmart?

Important to understand that sexual violence is political violence, enacted specifically to enforce class, race, and, yes, gender hierarchies.
I sometimes feel like they don’t want to end poverty or reduce inequality because they believe they’re entitled to a class of people they can prey upon

The state declined the money "to remain compliant with current Idaho laws concerning parental rights and counseling on pregnancy options.” The law in question is SB 1329, which requires parental consent for healthcare and is also limiting young people's access to suicide hotlines, as Kelcie notes
SCOOP: Idaho’s health department quietly declined the entirety of its annual $1.5 million federal Title X funding in April, leaving patients statewide without any access to the family planning program.

To a large extent, @teenvogue.com's Politics section was doing the only dedicated progressive reporting on American higher education. While higher ed issues sometimes receive coverage in places like The Nation & The American Prospect, Teen Vogue treated campuses like a dedicated beat.

Teen Vogue took young people's rights and political stances seriously, in a way that no other outlet did. This is so devastating—especially for young people who are looking to learn about the world and to feel less alone www.thecut.com/article/teen...

Two crying women have begged lawmakers not to pass the bill and talked about struggling to end wanted pregnancies in SC (which bans abortion past 6 weeks).
