Well my class has once again decided, after a thorough debate, that YES the City of Bend should pursue policies that discourage methane (natural gas) hookups and appliances in residential new construction. New this year: they were unanimous (16:0). @melaniekebler.bsky.social @amendez.bsky.social

This is an illegal intervention in a country that poses no threat to the United States. Trump is trying to distract from the fact that he tanked our economy and kicked millions off their health care. Congressional Republicans need to rein Trump in before he gets American troops killed.

The Trump Administration is withholding funding for housing assistance programs, which could cause 170,000 Americans to lose their homes this winter.

That’s unacceptable. I’m demanding it be fixed & that hundreds of thousands of families aren’t needlessly evicted.

More than half of the 2026 funding for the program will be shifted from permanent housing to transitional housing with work and service requirements.

Every chance they have, Republicans are taking action to make healthcare less affordable, and I’ve had enough.

Healthcare is expensive enough as it is – Oregonians don’t need DC politicians raising their costs even more.

The Public Lands Rule provides us with modern, science-based tools to protect, restore, and preserve our environment.

The Trump administration is trying to get rid of it.

I’m joining my colleagues to demand the rule stay in place.

Hivemind (do we still say that?): I had an HVAC guy tell me today that our fume hoods, if the sash is up at all (like to put hands in there) does not send air through the roof but recirculates it. Says that’s different when the sash is fully down. I am (pun) baffled! Could this be true?
