It would be poor judgement no matter who did it, but going after the country's most corrupt man with the most whiny lawyers and NOT making sure the effort is squeaky clean is asking for trouble.

This is part of why the Pokemon localization teams are gods among mortals. Making puns in 7 different languages for 100s of creatures, plus towns, trainers, and items? That's herculean.
