I used the slab kind for years, and when I finally got an iPad with the Apple Pencil it was night and day. Wound up buying a Kamvas and I love it. Went back to a slab let while I was travelling and while I made it work, ooh it was a struggle to get those muscles working again.
artists, out of curiousity: do you prefer a screen tablet, or a slablet?

This looks so cool, and how impressive on a technical level!
Chuck Close is one of my favorite portraitists. He also has propopagnosia, or face blindness, so he created a way to make portraits composed of circles on a grid, so he doesn’t have to try to hold a likeness in his head. Disability is no reason not to create art, if you really want to.

I was playing Breath of the Wild during the outage, a game I’d been meaning to pick up for a while now. Man. It is good it’s an open world so I can run headlong into fights, discover things by literally falling into them, and die multiple times without the game calling the dumbass I clearly am lol

Power’s been out for an hour and a half. Power corp is blaming wildlife interference at the substation for both the lack of power and the inability to get the diesel generators running, and suggests it could be up to an hour more. I am wondering if dinner will be crackers tonight 🥲
The power went out city-wide while I was at the grocery store getting something for dinner. I put everything back and left to be hangry in the comfort of my own apartment. Power’s been out for about 30 minutes so far, fingers crossed it’s only a 1 hr shortage or so.

I’ve been using Linux, specifically Fedora, as a daily driver for about…hm, 3-4 months now? Basic KDE, no customizations beyond dark mode Breeze theme, it’s been pretty solid.

I have been diagnosed with Shitty Bone Density and I’m going to try a two-year course of stabbing myself daily for my bones. Except I’m so young that insurance won’t cover it without a doctor’s note, which I need because holy Toledo, that’s expensive. Easily would be the priciest medication I take.

Went to try and unjam my electric pencil sharpener after a lead got stuck in it and thought I'd take out the batteries to avoid setting it off while I did that.
The batteries leaked and corroded. 🤢 (To be fair...they have been in there...years at this point. 🫠)
