I think what's so terrifying about Canada's hockey performance today is that the Czechs played totally fine. They pretty much got the performance out of their skaters that they needed to be "in" this game. And they got to go against Binnington who had legit questions.

-100000 line for this game. If you’re the type of person who has always wanted to see a college football team play an NFL team, this is about as close as it gets. Italy would probably get washed by a good NCAA team.

SOME MATH. The East playoff cutoff looks to be 95-96 points this year. Detroit has 76 points with 24 games to go. That means they need to play at exactly a point per game pace until the end, aka an 82 point pace.
In other words, they can sustain mediocre play and get in, but they cannot melt down

It’s a shame Seider’s scoring has slowed because last night showed how dominant he can be defensively and why he’s absolutely deserving of serious Norris consideration.

Marco Kasper really has been gradually building up to his current form for awhile now. Since Thanksgiving it's been steadily improving, but after the new year is when things really began to click.
